I live across the street from a city park. Sometimes I’ll sit on a bench there and have coffee, enjoying the day. It’s a nice family park that takes up a couple of blocks. There are ducks there, too.
Around three in the afternoon, neighborhood kids get out of school and many head to the park to play. It’s a good place to play.
I usually sit on a bench which faces this one tree. It’s an old tree with wide branches, some expanding out from the lower trunk. Kids flock to this tree. And climb it.
I call it the “Climbing Tree.”
This song is about memory and loss…how life moves so very fast. In the blink of an eye.
